The Missions of the Civil Air Patrol & The Goals Of This Open House
The Civil Air Patrol has three primary missions it performs on a near daily basis. Those missions are:
Emergency Services
We will be demonstrating how the C.A.P. conducts it's Search & Rescue operations. Primarily when an aircraft flying between two points becomes lost, has crashed or otherwise, the C.A.P. can become activated by Local, State or Federal municipalities/government to search or aid in the search for these aircraft. The C.A.P. can also be activated for many other reasons, come to the open house and find out more information!
Cadets Programs
C.A.P. cadets from all over West Michigan will be on hand to tell you everything there is to know about what it's like to be a cadet in one of the best organizations around. Cadets will also be participating in the operation of this open house and will be working to participate in SAR demonstrations as well as participating in Powered and Glider orientation flights throughout the day.
Aerospace Education
C.A.P. members will be conducting classes on Aerospace Education and it's importance to America and the American people. By the Civil Air Patrol using it's vast outreach, we can provide educational materials to teachers and educators ALL OVER these United States. It's by this outreach that we can insure a broad interest in aerospace and keep America the number one country in air & space superiority.
Come to the Open House; especially if you are a teacher and let us show you how you can integrate our lesson plans into your classrooms.
